(Capricorn, 1984) Using the same chair as did Nellie and Mattie, Mabel is intent on her basket weaving. To her left is a small tub with strips of cane soaking. In her lap she is completing another basket which will e much desired by the summer folk who vacation in the mountains near her home. She is named for two beloved teachers of mine in the 1930's.
